Volatile Organic Compound Sampling through Rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technique for Environmental Monitoring

To improve the capacity to probe volatile chemical substances in atmosphere, we designed an unmanned aerial vehicle system for organic compound (VOC) monitoring and sampling. This environmental (EMUAV) platform was equipped with a photoionization detector continuous VOC searching pollution air mass. Furthermore, multifunction airborne microVOC sampler loaded An airbag absorption tube were applied collect samples further analyzing laboratory by GC-FID/MS or TD-GC/MS. By comparing derived from collected at similar height building roof compositions, sampling conditions, such as port location method, optimized ensure representativeness of samples. The results sample comparison experiment showed that both method adsorption could recover 70–130% most species. Through measurements, advantages this EMUAV demonstrated. Therefore, developed would have immeasurable potential field environment monitoring.
